The North Park Yurt aka NPYs (Black Bear Yurt, Aspen Yurt, and Sunset Yurt) are all located on private property beside the entrance of the State Forest State Park. These drive-up gems are spread about 200 yards apart and 150 feet away from each other. They are the same size as our bigger yurts (24 ft.) All of the yurts here have drive up access and allow dogs during the winter season. Solar lights and fully stocked cooking area is what you will find in these front country yurts. The North Park Yurts provide a bit more luxurious way of roughing it.

These Yurts offer comfort while being at the base of all the beauty just a stone throw away. There is a private two-track ski trail on the North Park property. Furnishing: 24ft diameter. A queen bed, futon couch, futon chair, kitchen table/chairs, solar lights and fully stocked cooking area.

  • Pets are permitted year round at our North Part Yurts.

  • Sleeps 8+: Queen (1), Double Futon (1), Twin Futon (1), Single bunk bed (1), Cots (2) - NO additional floor pads are provided (if people sleeping on floor, this yurt CAN accommodate additional cots or floor pads brought in by customer).

  • Includes: Mattresses and pillows, chopped firewood (limited in summer), propane, propane light, propane cooktop, wood burning stove, snow melt pot, all kitchen pots and pans, all kitchenware, limited paper towels, limited toilet paper, limited matches and newspaper, limited dish soap and sponges, kitchen towels, snow shovel, maul and axe, coffee percolator, fire extinguisher, outdoor charcoal grill (charcoal not included), outside food storage box, table and chairs, outhouse, and yurt journal.  Click to open winter/summer pack lists below.

  • YOU are responsible for bedding*, food, and water. *bedding may be rented from us at $25/stay.

  • We are a backcountry RUSTIC setting lodging company and concessionaire of Colorado Parks & Wildlife.  Daily Parks Pass is NOT required for these yurts but IS required if you enter the parks.

  • NONE of our units have running water OR electricity; Our friends at the Hilton Fort Collins do.  All units are equipped with outhouses.

AREA TRAILS AND ATTRACTIONS

Bull Mountain:  About a half mile away is the base of Bull Mountain via Bull Mountain Road.  This road connects with the Beaver Lodge Nature Trail, Custer Draw Trail. Kiwi Road, and South Canadian Road.  Although our private property sits on 30 acres of open space to explore, it is also at the entrance to the State Forest State Park allowing for access to all 77,000 park acres.

 

County Road 41/Highway 14:  These three yurts sit on a private tract of land on the northwest corner of Highway 14 and County Road 41.  These yurts have prime access to Gould, CO (3 miles), Cameron Pass (10 miles), Arapaho National Refuge (15 miles) and Walden, CO (18 miles).
