




The Yurts of Never Summer Nordic® are remote backcountry shelters. The yurts are circular tent-like canvas and wood structures built high on a wood deck, offering the backcountry enthusiast a secure, secluded private refuge from the elements in the Colorado State Forest State Park. They are available for rent throughtout the year, winter or summer.
The Medicine Bow Yurt has an impressive view of Clark Peak as well as the entire Medicine Bow Range, with Bull Mountain to explore as your "backyard"! The Jewel Lake trail is also nearby for more trails to explore.
Located halfway to Jewel Lake, the Ruby Jewel Yurt is nestled in a dense lodge pole forest - ideal for mountain biking or mountain climbing. Unlimited access to high alpine bowls and exciting ridges tempt more skillful skiers, but there's plenty of easier skiing near the yurt.
Spectacular mountain scenery in a quiet, isolated valley make the Grass Creek Yurt a favorite. Nearby North Michigan Reservoir and Michigan River offer excellent fishing, it's a great basecamp for mountain bike riding, and in winter it offers a gentle terrain for novice skiers - with a few challenges on nearby Gould Mountain!
The remoteness of the North Fork Canadian Yurt is enhanced by unsurpassed views of the Never Summer mountain range. An ideal base camp for backpacking into high mountain lakes or mountain biking over miles of nearby trails. Ski tour into remote cirques or enjoy the scenic terrain and aspen groves near the yurt. Plenty of moose sightings here too!
The Dancing Moose Yurt has an impressive view of Clark Peak, with Bull Mountain to explore as your "backyard"! The Jewel Lake trail is also nearby for more trails to explore. With a little help this yurt is also wheelchair accessible.
The Montgomery Pass Yurts are located about halfway up the west side of Montgomery Pass, which opens up a whole new area to explore for intermediate and advanced skiers. Hikers and mountain bikers will also enjoy the access to the Medicine Bow Peaks - just 3 miles to Montgomery Pass from the yurts! The two yurts share a large clearing, but are separated by a stand of trees. Although each yurt is rented individually, it's a great site for larger groups - or a chance to meet new folks!
The Nokhu Hut (no' koo) is located in the southern end of the Colorado State Forest State Park on the Lake Agnes Road. It is named for the Nokhu Crags which tower just above it to the east. The Nokhu Hut has spectacular views of the Crags, Mt. Richthofen and Seven Utes Mountain. There is a wealth of skiing for the adventurous tele skier or backcountry snowboarder. In the summer, the easy hike to Lake Agnes makes this area very popular for families.
The Agnes Creek Cabin is located in the southern end of the Colorado State Forest State Park on the Lake Agnes Road. It is 1 mile below Lake Agnes with the Nokhu Crags towering just above it to the east. The Agnes Creek Cabin has spectacular views of the Diamond Peak (just off the deck) as well as a mountain stream close by.
