Half Day Tours

A 4 hour worry free tour will take you and your friends/family through the backcountry of the State Forest State Park. This tour is perfect for those who might be coming up from the front range for the day or staying at any of the yurts or cabins. Our guide will meet you at the trailhead or at your yurt. Then, into the snowy forest you will go. Your guide will offer fascinating natural history information along the way as well as complete instruction and safety information.

Full Day Tours

A 6 hour tour through the State Park. This tour is great for those that want to see as much of the park as they can. The tour will begin at the trailhead or your yurt/cabin. Amazing vistas of the Medicine Bow Mountains, views into surrounding wilderness and the tranquility of a snowy forest await you.

Overnight Tours

Spend the night in a yurt and let us do the rest. The tour will start at the trailhead for your yurt of choice. We will get your group into the yurt, cook dinner for you then we will leave you and return in the next morning for a half day tour in an area of your choice.

Our Guide

Anne is an experienced backcountry guide who has been on cross country skis as long as she can remember. She has been backcountry skiing in the State Forest State Park for the last 7 winters and feels comfortable just about anywhere in the park. If you need to know where to go on your touring skis, or want to know a little more about the history of the area, she is ready for a tour!!!.
