January 10 Fran and I are on our way back to the big city today. She has performed well for a Texan! The trip up to the lake was a nice challenge. I wish I had been prepared with the camera when she stepped off her skis for the first time in deep powder and sank to her hips - what a surprised look! -Fran and Kathy |
| April 15 On arrival we spotted the snow covered yurt. After shoveling the entrance, we were pleased with the looks of the cute yurt. However, we were a bit mystified about where the firewood might be kept - us being first time yurters and considering the 6 feet of snow around the yurt. We were mystified until our 6 year old came across the picture of the yurt in the Colorado Hut to Hut book and lo and behold there was the answer right below us under the yurt! -C., R., & J. from Connecticut |
